Therapy is a time to study how we experience our inner and outer landscapes.
Therapy often holds the paradox that our present state needs acceptance just as it is, and yet also contains the seeds of change and growth. Together, we can hold these two truths simultaneously to invite more self-compassion into the moment, and to locate the motivation needed to usher in new states of being for the future.
I tend to work from the present moment, and invite your body's wisdom to assist us. Sometimes the body gives us clues that can point back to memories or beliefs that need attention and compassion. We are wonderfully adaptable and renewable beings; when an old pattern is brought back to consciousness with awareness, a new experience can happen, and we can reorganize ourselves in ways that better serve us.
